For me the key is having a good system that I can use regularly to produce really fast results.

The faster I get results, the better my odds of success.

I really hate using tools that do a half-a$$ job or are frustrating to use and waste my time.

For me Word is one of those tools and from what I’ve heard from other people, I’m not alone in that belief.

Okay, PhotoShop is great, I love it but it’s way too expensive. Plus it has tons of features that I’m probably never going to use.

What I want is a tool that just works, it has to be fast, simple and easy to use, plus doesn’t cost me an arm and a leg to keep current all the time.

I also want it to make sense when I use it. And I’d really like for everything to be in one place. I really don’t want to jump around between different programs if I can help it.

So what am I to do? Let’s face it – Word just flat out sucks!

Okay, it does sort of work – the HTML it produces (even the filtered version) is not very good to put it mildly. For me it’s a royal pain to format things with it.

Actually I liked the older versions much better but of course Microsoft had to make it easier to use and screwed that up.

And don’t even get me started about what I think of Internet Explorer. Okay, maybe just a little…

As a Web Developer, I’ve wasted untold hours of my life trying to find work-arounds so my correctly coded web sites work with it.

Have you guessed by now that I’m not a big fan of anything Microsoft? Yeah not so much.

So I did what any good programmer would do… I did away with those two overpriced bloated tools, and went ahead and build a better mouse trap at least where Kindle publishing is concerned.
